My opinion: I think this is an interesting loop.

It makes me think of a hypothetical NES game featuring Hermes the bureaucrat from Futurama. There's a certain whimsical, monotonous quality to it.

I think I could provide better feedback if you added your thought process and any intent you had when creating this song into its description. That way I can judge how clearly I thought your intent came across as opposed to judging purely by my own taste. In turn, this could also affect my rating.

This thene is actually the main menu theme of a minigame in my upcoming project, the first version can be listened to on the gamejolt page. It's actually almost a month old now, just completed the entire think earlier today. thanks for the feedback though as all i really ever wanted constructive critisism

I think this piece is really good, but the difference between the first half and the second half is jarring. While I can see there's beauty in the second half of the piece that definitely fits with the title and description, it seems to me the first half doesn't fit as well with the vibe it appears you are going for. That's my interpretation. If you think I'm wrong, please clarify. I'm not quite sure what your intent and thought processes were for this song, so it's hard to judge based on how clear those things come across. Therefore I have to review based on my taste and interpretations.

I like the song, though.

IMO this piece has a feeling of urgency and a clear image of a clean futuristic metropolis. I think it fits the story in the description quite well. It's also really well mixed.

I have no notes. Good job. :)

Thank you so much :) !

If I could get stoned by listening to music, this would be my drug of choice. :P

Seriously, though, the title fits with the piece quite well. I imagine literally floating in the clouds in the sky when I hear it.

In order for me to give better feedback, I suggest you provide your thought process and the intent you had when making and releasing this piece. That way I can base my review on how well I thought your intent came across rather than strictly my personal taste. Doing so could also affect my rating.

I do like the song, though. :)

While the intent isn't entirely clear from your description, I'll give you bonus points for giving me goosebumps (largely due to the combination of the piece, its accompanying image and the caption). Somehow you managed to make a peaceful ambient sound become uncomfortable, like a horror movie. It keeps me on my toes.

I stand by what I say in many reviews I write, that I think it would be helpful for you to give a more direct statement of your intent and thought process going into this piece. This way I can give better feedback, a more accurate rating, and judge less by my own taste and more on how clearly I thought your intent came across in this piece.

That said, I like this piece a lot. :)

wow, thank you so much bro :D

I think it would be beneficial for you to add to the description what your thought process was going into creating and releasing this song. That way i can judge based on how well I thought your intent came across instead of simply my own opinion.

I think this has a very video-game-ish vibe to it, like I'd hear this while playing Super Meatboy. I quite like it. :) Unfortunately, I can't give feedback that meets my review standards (see link below) without the information stated above.

Given the dark and personal subject matter of this piece (Speaking from the sound and from the description; I don't speak the language of the lyrics) I find it very difficult to even try to review this piece. Out of respect, I am not going to show my rating without your permission; It doesn't feel right to me to publicly assign a number to something like this.

What I will say is this: IMO the increasingly unsettling progression of the song does a great job at conveying the idea of going nuts. Complemented by the description, it makes a lot of sense.

If you would like a more detailed review and/or rating, feel free to PM me.

Edit: Very well. I have revealed my rating.

igelpony responds:

Hey,

thanks for the review on the instrumental part.
I added the lyrics (incl. the translation) in the description.

And you can publish the rating you are giving. Thanks for the consideration, but I am not too uptight (well, not anymore) about being critized for my music.

The description, the title, the song and the atmosphere it creates; every element written for this piece carries the image so well, it's like I'm transported into the world this piece creates. It's more than just an image I see; under proper conditions, I can see a short film in my head playing along with each moment in this composition as they are introduced, like a soundtrack to a book. In many ways, this is one of the most accurate, detailed, and clear representations of imagery trying to be conveyed I have ever heard, or at least that I've heard in a while.

The only knock I have against this piece is the compression, especially in the second half of the piece (around 3:47 onward), is a little high, especially during the times when there's cinematic buildup at the same time as there are strings. The volume is slightly unstable during those parts and it temporarily takes me out of the experience.

Still, I think this is phenomenal and I'd love to hear more. :D

Thank you!)))

IMO This piece and its title really fit together well. It's unsettling synthwave.

I wish you put in your description what your intent and thought processes were in making this song. That way I can base my review, and by extension my rating, on how clearly I thought your intent came across rather than strictly my own taste.

As far as my own taste goes, I think this is really good. :) It's one of the more unique synthwave songs I've heard.
