My name is Codefreq. I am based in the suburbs of Chicago.

I love writing music. I have been doing so in various forms for almost 20 years; since I was a kid of 5 years, give or take. The way I write music can be described as follows: Imagine a Photoshop canvas, where you draw pictures from scratch, using different elements to help a message get across. Now imagine a similar canvas situation but with audio instead of graphics. That is what I do. I do not play physical instruments, rather I write on computer software, therefore the computer is my instrument. I start with an empty project. Then draw each note in the software editor in a tedious, painstaking, yet extraordinarily rewarding and expressive fashion. I have perfect pitch, and a growing studio or virtual instruments. I have been told many of my compositions are "soundtrack-y" and could be in TV, Movies and video games.
